A week after we arrived in Charleston, we finally made it to the beach. It was very windy.
Celia really liked the beach.
Emme didn’t-she didn’t like the wind and kept telling us she was hungry.
Emme and I went back to the car and David and Celia collected several sea shells. Considering how much Celia loves the outdoors and bringing it home, we are sure to have quite a collection of shells by the end of the summer.

is the beach sandy? can't really tell from the pictures. I hope it is -- good for future sandcastles.
Lots of nice sand and shells. No tar! Really nice. We will have to go back on a day that is not so overcast.
